- VFR - MVFR - IFR - LIFR

• VFR - Ceiling greater than 3,000 feet and visibility greater than 5 miles.
• MVFR - Ceiling between 1,000 feet and 3,000 feet (inclusive) and/or visibility between 3 and 5 miles (inclusive).
• IFR - Ceiling 500 feet to less than 1,000 feet and/or visibility 1 mile to less than 3 miles.
• LIFR - Ceiling less than 500 feet and/or visibility less than 1 mile.

How to use this map:

• Initially the Continental United States is shown. You may drag the map to view Alaska and Hawaii. You may move and zoom in automatically to a specific state by selecting the state from the drop-down at the top of the page. If you know the ICAO (4 character) identifier, IATA (FAA, 3 character) identifier or the first part of the name for a station you may enter it and click "Search" and the map will be repositioned to view the station selected.

• Additional stations are visible as you zoom in. One station per state (plus the District of Columbia) is displayed when zoomed out. You may disable all stations when zoomed out by selecting the "Disable Culling" checkbox at the top of the page. This provides a better view of conditions however performance is reduced. You may click on the push-pin for a station to view the raw METAR.

• Weather observations more than four hours old are excluded, only the most recent observation for each station is displayed. Your browser will automatically refresh the map from our server every hour.
